Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home having a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
